More of Buenos Aires,Argentina

These first three pictures of my Sweetheart Sveta who lives in Buenos Aires, but is moving to St.Marys hopefully this summer!!!She is originally from Almaty,Kazakhstan and turned 40 the day before I landed there!! She sure don't look no 40yrs.old!!! She took me sight-seeing all over the city and we went together up to Iguazu Falls! Here she is hamming it up for the camera at the Devil's Throat!
Most of Argentina's buildings are built with strong European architecture, but as you can see in the background they are building the skyscrapers more of a modern theme to them! All I can say is,if you want to see anything like this, get down there and soak up the heritage of an amazing country!!!

Adios Amigos & Amigas!!!! :-) :-) :-)

Buenos Aires,Argentina Nov.19 - 25,2006

This is the Obelisk right in the center of the city, and also right in the center of AV.9 De Julio, said to be the widest and longest Avenue in the world! There is about 8-9 lanes on one side and the same on the other! If you didn't move fast you would be stuck in the middle, but that was good, because they had benches and trees to rest on and under while waiting for the lights to change!! :D
This is the top half of a christmas tree inside a shopping mall with the vaulted ceilings! This was on Sunday night around 9:30pm and people were all over the place!
This is the gate into La Recoleta. It is a cemetery for all the dignitaries from the last 200 yrs. Evita Peron is buried here also. They are all large vaults for burial and are truly amazing as you will see in the next picture!
This one on the corner here was of a 12yr. old girl who was thought to have died and was mistakenly buried alive!! They found out a month or two later when her parents went to pay their respects and saw the lid on the coffin was almost open. They told the caretakers and they went to investigate and saw that the girl had tried to get out but couldn't and eventually did die!! Remember, this was back in the 1800's!
They have these all over the city! Recycling bins for Glass,Plastics & Paper!
